Acting on the belief that everyone deserves access to cultural education, UCSB Arts & Lectures teams up with The Marjorie Luke Theatre, the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center, Isla Vista School to present ¡Viva el Arte de Santa Bárbara! – a program of high quality, no-cost performing arts experiences and education that represent the unique cultural heritage of our community. Featuring free performances in neighborhood venues, school assemblies, workshops and more, Viva works with many community partners to make cultural events uniquely accessible throughout Santa Barbara County from Carpinteria to New Cuyama, bringing arts experiences to children and families.

Dante Training

We recently attended the Dante Level 2 certification training in Burbank. The event was co-sponsored by Audinate & Yamaha. The training covered advanced topics in Dante audio networking as well as in-depth training for Dante software including Dante Controller, Dante Virtual Soundcard and Dante Via.

The ability to distribute large channel counts of audio over networks at very low latencies is here and is only going to be further developed. Seeing that we have several Dante enabled devices such as our Yamaha CL5 console and Shure ULXD wireless mics, the class was very beneficial.

2016 Ottmar Liebert U.S. Tour

Shadowfax provided the audio package for the 2016 Ottmar Liebert tour. The 6 week tour spanned all of the Western U.S. as well as a few shows in Texas and Florida.

Sergio Mendes / Ventura Music Festival

Shadowfax provided audio for the Sergio Mendes performance at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. A ground stacked Martin W8LM rig provided coverage in the house with an Avid SC48 at FOH. On stage was a mix of Sennheiser G3 IEMs & Martin LE12 wedges mixed on a Yamaha CL5.
